Issued in September 2002, this Bus was made for Haribo, the German manufacturer of "Gummibären" candy.

The bus is blue / red and carries elaborate "Haribo" print.

The bus comes packaged in a very attractively styled box, comes complete with certificate and the set includes a mini bag of Gummibären.

It is a limited edition of 2,222 pcs only, part of which went to Haribo, part of which ended up with the specialist toy trade.

This was the long-awaited 2002 collectors guide which includes a CD-Rom which the complete Piccolo range and of course the obligatory commemorative Piccolo, a Tempo Dreirad with special print.

It contains a firefighter of ca. 4 inches (10cm) high and a Magirus Deutz Ladder Truck.

It was issued to commemorate the world-famous (in Germany at least...) Circus Krone.

It comes in a linen-lined gift box and contains the following Piccolos:

• VW Bus
• VW Window Bus with Caravan
• Mercedes Truck

All models have an elaborate print which emulates the way the Krone cars looked in the 1950's.

Also included are a certificate of authenticity and a Circus Krone Poster.

It is a limited edition of only 3,000 pieces.

Issued in March 2002, this is a special gift set.

It was issued to commemorate the world-famous (in Germany at least...) Circus Krone.

It is the second set that was issued around this circus.

It comes in a linen-lined gift box and contains two Schuco Piccolo Mercedes-Benz O-3500 Busses as used way back when by Circus Krone.

Next to the two piccolos, the set contains a Circus Krone Lapel Pin and a 12 x 16 inch Circus Krone Poster.

It is a limited edition of only 2,500 pieces.

Issued in November 2001, this set was made exclusively for the German chain of toy stores "Vedes".

The set comes in the higher quality wooden chest, a style that was introduced with the "Le Garage" set and of which the wood is lacquered instead of painted and comes with gold-colored print on the lid. The chest comes in a protective red carton outer sleeve.

It comes in a tin box and it contains a Magirus Deutz Tow Truck and a DKW Schnellaster van with Santa Claus at the wheel.

Comes complete with certificate of origin from Schuco.

It is a limited edition of only 3,000 pieces.

The Hendrix Set was a significant step in the history of the Piccolo's. After the bankruptcy of Schuco in 1976, only Werner Nutz, who had bought some of the moulds, attempted to re-issue Piccolo's but he died before he could get the production really off the ground.

In 1992, the Hendrix Company commissioned a set of Piccolo replica's to be made. This is the set that ultimately would become known as the "Hendrix Set".

It was basically this initiative that triggered the true re-issues by Schuco a mere 2 years later.

As far as can be traced back now, these were true "replica's" and not "re-issues" as the models were not made with the consent of Gama, than owner's of the Schuco Trademark. Nowhere on the box or on the models does it mention "Schuco" but the models are referred to as Piccolo's.

The original bottom plate of the models was robbed of all original markings which were replaced by a plain "Hendrix" script.

It is rumored that the moulds in which the models were cast were made as plain copies of vintage models.

The sets are individually numbered and not more than 500 were made.

As with all "recognized fakes" this set is now also appreciating in value quickly and not easy to find.

Issued in October 2001, this set was made exclusively for "Le Garage" in Japan that celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The set contains a Ferrari Barchetta and a Porsche 356 Cabriolet, both with "Le Garage" print on both sides.

The set comes in a wooden chest with elaborate print on the lid.

Also included is a certificate from Schuco confirming the above.

Each chest is individually numbered (see picture).

It is a limited edition of only 666 pieces, most of which went of course to Japan.

These displays are normally only available to large volume Piccolo retailers.

The display can hold 30 Piccolo's and is the perfect way to display your collection.

The bus is blue / off-white and carries elaborate "4711" and "Echt Kolnisch Wasser" prints on both sides.

It comes packaged in an elaborately beprinted tin box, together with a mini bottle of "4711".

The set is completed by a certificate of origin by Schuco.
